OP-17 "The World's Strongest Warriors": two Leaders confirmed
Bandai has officially confirmed two of OP-17's six Leaders: Edward Newgate (Whitebeard) as a Red leader, and Monkey D. Luffy as a Black leader. Both point toward the set's Marineford-era power theme. The remaining four Leaders had not been revealed as of this writing. As the game's 4th anniversary set, OP-17 draws heavily on the Elbaf arc, with premium art expected across its Special and Treasure Rare slots.
The first confirmed OP-17 chase card has surfaced: Loki (OP17-119), a Black-colored character card with a Cost of 6 and 8000 power, carrying the Giants/Elbaf trait. A Treasure Rare slot — a rarity tier above Secret Rare — is confirmed to exist in the set, though the specific card filling it hasn't been revealed yet.
Bandai's "Next Plan" presentation: World Championship expansion, Heroines Edition 2 announced
At its Next Plan presentation, Bandai laid out its next wave of products — OP-17 and a second Heroines-themed extra booster, ONE PIECE Heroines Edition 2 (EB-05) — alongside an expanded 2026–2027 World Championship structure with more regional qualifying invites. The presentation also previewed sample cards for an Elbaf-arc-themed pack featuring Luffy, Edward Newgate, and the character Loki.
Six new starter deck variants are set to release, built around Luffy, Zoro, Sabo, Charlotte Katakuri, and other fan-favorite characters. Starter decks are typically the most accessible entry point for new players, and often include reprints or new versions of playable staples.
OP-17 is set to become the first main One Piece Card Game booster to release on the same date in both English and Japanese, meaning English-language collectors won't have to wait behind a Japan-first release for once. Sources differ slightly on the exact date (late August 2026) — check official Bandai channels closer to release for the confirmed day.
Following February 2026's first Heroines Edition (75 cards, led by Nefertari Vivi), a second Heroines-themed extra booster is scheduled for release, with promotional art featuring Nico Robin and Nami. No individual card previews have been shown yet.
